Meet the Family Behind A&M
We’re Anthony and May, a husband-and-wife team raising six children in East Central Minnesota. Together, we’re the family behind A&M Freestyle Designs.
Our life is busy, creative, and usually a little unpredictable. Between raising our family, building our businesses, and pursuing the things we love, we’ve learned how meaningful it is to preserve memories and celebrate the people and moments that matter most.
That belief is at the heart of everything we do.
How Our Story Began
A&M Freestyle Designs began with a shared love of creativity and making unique items for family and friends. We enjoyed taking an ordinary idea and turning it into something personal—something created specifically for the person receiving it.
When we discovered laser engraving, we were fascinated by the possibilities. What began as curiosity quickly became a passion and eventually grew into the family business we operate today.
The name A&M comes from the first initials of our names. It represents the partnership at the center of our business and everything we continue building together.
A Family-Owned Business in Every Sense
Raising six children has taught us to appreciate milestones, traditions, inside jokes, photographs, handwritten messages, and the little everyday moments that can pass by far too quickly.
Those experiences shape the way we approach our work. We understand that a name, date, photograph, familiar phrase, or personal design can carry a story that means far more than the item itself.
A&M Freestyle Designs gives us the opportunity to create together, build something meaningful for our family, and help other people preserve and celebrate their own stories.
Photography Is Part of Our Story
May has a longtime love of photography and has worked professionally as a photographer. She enjoys capturing genuine moments, meaningful connections, and memories that people can carry with them for years to come.
Photography and personalized engraving may seem like two different creative paths, but they share the same purpose: preserving stories. Photography captures a moment, while personalized engraving can help transform that memory into a lasting keepsake.
We’re working to bring these two sides of our family’s creative work together in thoughtful ways. May currently shares her photography through social media while developing a dedicated photography website.

Life Beyond the Businesses
When we’re not working or spending time with our kids, you’ll often find us exploring Minnesota’s back roads in our Jeep—preferably with the roof and doors off.
Our adventures, family experiences, and May’s photography keep us inspired. They remind us that some of life’s best stories are found in unexpected places and ordinary moments.
