Customer-Supplied Content Policy
A&M Freestyle Designs LLC creates personalized products using photographs, artwork, logos, graphics, text, handwriting, signatures, and other content supplied by customers. This policy explains the rights, permissions, and responsibilities that apply when you submit content for a custom order.
1. Content Covered by This Policy
This policy applies to any content you provide for customization, including:
- Personal or family photographs
- Professional photographs
- Artwork, illustrations, and drawings
- Logos, business graphics, and branding
- Handwriting, signatures, and memorial content
- Children's artwork
- Text, phrases, and quotations
- Any other image, design, or creative work submitted for production
2. How Submitted Content May Be Prepared
To create a finished product, A&M Freestyle Designs LLC may need to reproduce, resize, crop, reposition, simplify, trace, convert, or otherwise modify submitted content. Depending on the product and production method, preparation may include:
- Conversion to line art
- Background removal
- Cropping or reframing
- Resizing or repositioning
- Contrast or tonal adjustments
- Simplification or removal of small details
- Layout changes
- Engraving, printing, cutting, or production optimization
The finished product may be an artistic interpretation optimized for the selected material and production process rather than an exact photographic reproduction.
3. Your Rights and Permissions
By submitting content, you confirm that at least one of the following is true:
- You own the copyright or other applicable rights to the submitted content; or
- You have written permission from the copyright owner or other rights holder that allows A&M Freestyle Designs LLC to reproduce and modify the content for your order.
Your permission must cover both reproduction and alteration when preparation requires changes such as line-art conversion, cropping, tracing, background removal, simplification, or other adaptations.
4. Professional Photography
Professional photographers often retain copyright ownership of the images they create. A print release may allow copies to be printed but might not allow the photograph to be altered, adapted, traced, converted to line art, or used in another production process.
For photographs created by a professional photographer, you are responsible for obtaining written permission that authorizes all uses required for your selected product.
A&M Freestyle Designs LLC works directly with May Herring Photography for copyright-related orders. When an order involves photography created by May Herring Photography, permissions may be coordinated directly between A&M Freestyle Designs LLC and May Herring Photography. This coordination applies only when the specific image and intended use are approved.
5. Logos, Trademarks, Licensed Designs, and Publicity Rights
Submitting a logo, trademark, sports mark, character, celebrity image, licensed design, business graphic, or other protected content requires authorization from the appropriate rights holder. You are also responsible for obtaining any privacy or publicity permissions required for people shown in submitted content.
Purchasing an item, downloading an image, finding an image online, or possessing a physical or digital copy does not necessarily grant permission to reproduce or modify it.
6. Documentation
A&M Freestyle Designs LLC may request documentation before production begins, including:
- Copyright or print releases
- Written permission from a photographer, artist, designer, or rights holder
- Trademark or logo authorization
- Licensing documentation
- Permission allowing alteration or adaptation
Production may be paused until requested documentation is received and accepted.
7. Right to Decline or Cancel Work
A&M Freestyle Designs LLC may decline, pause, or cancel work when ownership or permission is unclear, when submitted content appears to infringe another party's rights, or when sufficient documentation is not provided. Any refund or cancellation treatment will be handled in accordance with the store's applicable order and refund policies.
8. Limited Permission Granted to A&M Freestyle Designs LLC
By submitting content, you grant A&M Freestyle Designs LLC a limited, nonexclusive permission to receive, store, prepare, reproduce, modify, engrave, print, cut, manufacture, and otherwise use the content only as reasonably necessary to review, produce, fulfill, remake, or support your order.
You do not transfer ownership of your content to A&M Freestyle Designs LLC.
9. Customer Responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of the statements and permissions you provide. You agree that you will not submit content that violates another party's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other legal rights.
You are responsible for claims, losses, costs, or expenses arising from content you submitted without sufficient ownership or permission, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Marketing and Portfolio Use
Permission to use content for producing your order does not automatically give A&M Freestyle Designs LLC permission to use your submitted content or finished custom product in advertising, social media, portfolio displays, product listings, or other promotional materials.
Marketing or portfolio use will require separate permission when applicable.
11. Uploaded Files and Privacy
Submitted files are used for order review, preparation, production, fulfillment, customer service, and recordkeeping related to your order. Files may be retained for a reasonable period to support production, remakes, quality review, legal compliance, or order history.
Do not submit highly sensitive personal information that is not necessary for the custom product.
12. Questions Before Ordering
If you are unsure whether you have sufficient permission to use an image, photograph, logo, or other content, contact A&M Freestyle Designs LLC before placing your order. We may ask you to obtain additional permission or documentation before accepting the content for production.
13. Customer Acknowledgment
By submitting content or placing an order that uses customer-supplied content, you confirm that you have reviewed this policy and that you have the rights and permissions required for A&M Freestyle Designs LLC to reproduce and modify the content as needed to create your product.
